1932 Ford "Fordor"
1932 Ford Fordor
This 1932
Ford four door sedan is
owned by Don Smith and was
built by Hot Rods by JSK in
Cumby Texas. This Great 8
car was a serious contender
for the 2014 Ridler Award at
the 2014 Detroit Autorama as
well as it was also just
picked as Goodguys 2014
Streetrod of the year in
Columbus.
We are very proud to have been a part of this project. We were given the task
of converting a very rare Hilborn mechanical injection system to EFI. In order
to convert the system to EFI and keep everything hidden, we created custom
injector plates, machined an all new valley plate and metering block that
incorporates TPS, wiring and vacuum plumbing, custom air scoops. We also
machined the valve cover accents. The system is controlled by an Accel/DFI Gen 7
ECU.
Because Don is known to drive his cars as well as show them, we not only had
to make it pretty, we had to make it perform! We made 305HP @5600 rpm and 318
lbs Trq @4400 rpm.
